This unit supports up to 4 HDD's internally. Due to its size (1.5U, 19' wide), the AVR-1600 series DVR is perfect for installation on rack mount, or a desktop. The AVR-1600 series is the latest breakthrough in HD over COAX technology. AVR technology enables the greatest streaming resolution possible (1080P / 720P), over traditional COAX cable. This cutting edge break through enables video, audio, and PTZ data transmission over a single COAX cable, at distances of up to 1500'. The AVR-1600 series recorders will record and stream 1080P / 720P resolution at 15/30 FPS (frames-per-second) on every input, giving it high-end features while maintaining a low price tag. In addition to HDAVS and analog cameras, two IP cameras can be added to the AVR-1600 series recorders. This DVR is well suited for installations such as: large offices, financial institutions, and educational institutions. By using this device, you can effectively retrofit previous standard definition analog systems with high definition video, and minimal effort. Like all IC Realtime series recorders, this device utilizes H.264E (Enhanced H.264) compression technology, enabling crisp image viewing with the least bandwidth consumption possible. This unit adopts an embedded system design, as well as a Linux Operating System, resulting in high levels of stability, performance, and most importantly: reliability. In addition, this unit is fully operational from remote locations (Search / Playback / Backup / Configuration) over standard Ethernet networks.
