Power Over Ethernet is a godsend for security camera professionals, allowing single-wire network connection & camera operations power with one RJ45 cable. But unlike standard IP cameras with low power consumption, larger power-zoom and Hi-PoE PTZ cameras, like IC Realtime’s state-of-the-art IPEL-P8040X series, have motors, fans & heaters that require higher 802.3at Hi-PoE. At these power levels, even the best network cables can show diminished power trying to push 48-56V of POE DC power to a Hi-POE camera at the end of a long cable run. POE-INJECTOR-75W is a mid-span POE injector so it can deliver power closer to the actual camera location to minimize voltage loss due to long cable runs or line defects. While not weatherproof itself, it is capable of operating in temperatures from -31F up to +149F so it can be used inside a structure, in a NEMA box installation, or a remote PTZ junction box like our MNT-BOX 2, as long as there is AC access this little POE powerhouse will help eliminate POE power issues for good.
